St. Clair County was established on November 20, 1818. The county was named after General Arthur St. Clair, who served as an officer in the French and Indian War. St. Clair County offers various attractions, one of which is the opportunity to visit a part of the beautiful Appalachian Mountain Range. It also offers its vast lakes, other unique outdoor experiences, and culturally rich history throughout the county.
